When is the Right time to move on after being widowed or divorced? The answer is every situation is different. Someone may have lost a spouse but understands the value of being in a loving relationship, whereas someone else may have been through a bitter long drawn out divorce that has left them without a lot of resentment and anger.
Once you are ready to move on and have opened you heart and mind to loving someone else here is some advice on how you can navigate through your next serious relationship:
Believe it or not, there are men in their 40s. 50s. and 60's who are looking for love.
Dating is a process, you may not find the next person you are meant to be with on the first, second or even third date.
The myth that the perfect man exists is just that, a myth. There are no perfect men, but there is a man out there who is perfect for you.
View your previous marriage and relationships, as life experiences, not baggage; and realize that with age comes wisdom.
Do the things you love like going to the park, visiting museums, taking a sip and paint class, but don't shy away from age appropriate dating apps.
Take joy in the fact that at this stage in your life, you are or are becoming the best version of yourself.
Dating in your 40's and beyond is usually not about finding your firsts, its about finding you nexts and your lasts...
